Business Centres Contribute £2bn To Uk Economy

Written on Monday, 24 November 2014

The latest Business Centre Association (BCA) report, published in the Sunday Mail, offers insight into the trends and statistics of business centres throughout the UK.

According to the report, the business centre sector is thriving due to an increase in customer demand and is rivalling the city of London in terms of commercial space and employment numbers. Occupying almost 70 million square feet, business centres house around 80,000 businesses, provide 400,000 people with jobs and are generating £2bn to the UK economy.

SME’s are still the primary occupiers of business centres but corporations are increasingly recognising the benefits of flexibility.

The full report is due to be released soon. For now we are keeping you updated with the report findings on twitter, follow us @oregacentres or the hashtag #BCAreport.
