1. Flexi time
Flexible hours allows you to start early and finish early or alternatively, start late and finish late. If this is an option for you, it’ll may help you with the school run and have more time for when is convenient for you. It also helps with doctors and dentist appointments so you don’t have to book time off.
2. No phone zone
Agree with your kids that dinner time is a no phone and no TV zone, this gives you and your family time to focus on each other and talk about each other’s day. Treat this time as family time and make the most of each other’s company.
Set boundaries between work and home, it’s important you don’t bring work into your time with your family. Avoid answering emails and calls as much as you can whilst at home, you don’t want them to feel like you’re putting work before them.
4. Get organised
Avoid frantic mornings by getting organised the night before. Get any little ones organised for school, ensure you’ve everything you need for work, and most importantly - fuel up for the day with a healthy breakfast.
5. Weeknight hobby
It’s important to stay active throughout the week, and although it’s difficult to find the time, dedicating one night a week to a hobby, whether that’s running, tennis, swimming or even a bike ride, will really help clear your mind... and you can get the rest of the family involved too!
