Meet the six #TeamOrega cyclists that will be taking on the monumental challenge of cycling 390 miles from Milan to Rome in aid of 1moreChild. They are cycling Ride25’s pioneer route through Italy's picturesque countryside and rolling hills. This year’s ride will take place from June 10 – 14. You can support them here.
You might remember him from last year’s Orega Ride25 cycling trip from Geneva to Milan; it’s our very own co-founder Zach Douglas a.k.a MAMIL (Middle aged man in Lycra). Zach is taking on the challenge again this year as an excuse to get fit and of course in support of Orega’s chosen charity 1moreChild.
Swapping his suit for Lycra for his first cycling tour with Ride25 is Orega’s co-founder Paul Finch a.k.a The Paul Finch. He may have been coerced into doing it by Zach, but after 3 hours at the bike shop he is certainly ready to take on the challenge for 1moreChild.
Joining them is Zach’s brother Tristan Douglas a.k.a The Mountain Goat who also completed the cycling trip from Geneva to Milan with Zach. This year he is bringing his ‘awkward at best’ cycling style to the team in an effort to complete this personal challenge and support 1moreChild.
Next up we have Andrew ‘isn’t he here yet?’ Waugh who will be bringing the humour, determination and a lack of talent to boost the morale of the team. Getting out of bed early enough will be his biggest challenge, but he is willing to do it for 1moreChild.
Tom Leefe a.k.a T-Leefe has all the gear and debatably no idea about what he is about to put himself through taking on this 390 mile cycling challenge. He will be strong on the flats but will need to draw inspiration in the hill climbs through Tuscany!
Rounding out #TeamOrega is Instant Offices’ John Williams a.k.a JW who is debatably the most experienced with physical exertion. He has already cycled London to Cannes and later this year he will be swimming the British channel – so he’s not afraid of an endurance challenge.
We are absolutely thrilled to have six dedicated riders in #TeamOrega this year who are putting their bodies on the line for 1moreChild. You can show your support for our team and 1moreChild by donating here.
