World Water Day at Orega

Every year on 22 March is World Water Day and we’re raising awareness on the importance of access to clean water for everyone.

Clean water was established as a human right in 2010 by the UN, but unfortunately, over 35% of the world’s population still doesn’t have access to it.

In the UK, we’re lucky enough to have access to filtration systems where tap water is safe to drink. There is also easy access to filters where you can cut out even more pollutants such as chlorine and pesticides.

Orega Uxbridge - Water, Coffee and Tea Point

All of our Orega centres offer filtered water fresh out of the filtering machines at all tea points, so you don’t need to purchase bottled water. We’re encouraging you to take advantage of this availability of clean water and ditch single-use plastics and use Orega's reusable and recyclable water bottle - see your Orega reception to grab a free bottle. Find out more about the benefits of reusable water bottles here.

Did you know that recycling plastic or glass bottles saves about one-third of the energy compared to making those products from virgin materials? This is why it's important to reuse and recycle all plastic and glass products. Please ensure if you decide to no longer use our Orega water bottle to recycle it so it can be used for a future product!
